Seattle Light Rail Link Opens

Seattle’s SLU light rail link opened Jan. 23, connecting the Pioneer Square area with Capitol Hill. For now, this link does not connect with the main Link line, although a short connection is planned. One interesting fact: The new system uses cars equipped with batteries that permit no-wires operations between some stops. See Seattle Streetcars
