Los Angeles Metro opened a 10-mile extension of the Gold Line light rail route from eastern Pasadena to Azusa. The line now connects a string of suburbs–Pasadena, Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, Irwindale, and Azusa–with Los Angeles Union Station and on to East Los Angeles.
